I still blast my music a little too loud for a wife and mother of two living in a sleepy suburb of Boston (old habits from the 80s die hard). I am a Mommy of one–my 7-year-old son, Alex, and Stepmom of one–my husband’s 10-year-old son, Jake. Raising two boisterous boys always generates good Mommy Dish.
Before momhood, I was a television reporter who covered everyone from Hillary Clinton to The Goo Goo Dolls. I transitioned to mommy blogger in 2010 — the year my baby boy swallowed me whole. Since then, I have penned articles for The Huffington Post, The Stir, and The Mighty, to name a few.
My life is complicated, chaotic, and downright comical–and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
your site is warm, funny, informative and loving!

It was a pleasure meeting you the other day at story time! I read your blog and have a great appreciation for your style of writing about your in’s and out’s of motherhood. It is alot of work, however, very much rewarding:-). I look forward to many more stories and getting together at some point in the future.
Best,
Sharon
It was great meeting you, too, Sharon. Thanks for visiting my blog!!
I don’t know how far back you read, but this recipe (link below) has your name written all over it. It’s called Two Minute Chicken; it’s foolproof and everyone loves it! Alex and I are looking forward to seeing you and Tyler next week!

Your post today was powerful!!! I felt like I was there with you …..
I am so thrilled that your Mother and I have connected again after 40 years….unbelievable…but then ‘long distance’ phone calls were a luxury and letters were our main means of communication……and we were living different lives in our 20’s……. Technology is so sweet!
I am sorry to hear the latest news, but I am confident that your mom’s sunny disposition will prevail….I hope to meet you all this summer…Peace and love, Nicki
Thank you, Nicki. I am glad you reconnected with my Mom, and hope to meet you as well. I appreciate your support of my blog!
